We keep returning for delicious food I have to say I love that every time we have visited this restaurant, we have enjoyed our food enormously. The new re vamp of the restaurant is very much appreciated and makes dining even more pleasurable. We visited at the beginning of August to “eat out to help out”, my partner was so impressed that he drove up to Caerphilly to bring his 80+ year old Mam down for a weekend so that she could she could join us for lunch. All the food on both occasions was delicious, we had the crab and smoked salmon salad, fish cake with the melted cheesy filling, my partner had the flat iron steak with all the trimmings and I had the hake ( picture below). For dessert, I had the brownie and Gareth the bread and butter pudding… excellent value normally for 3 course set lunch menu, but with the £10 off per person, it was exceptional. On our visit with Gareth’s Mam, we ate royally too, including a belly of pork, confit of duck, sirloin steak and hake in batter. The starters included a butternut squash soup, fish cake and a smoked salmon and citrus salad. Desserts were the white chocolate, lime and ginger cheesecake, bread and butter pudding and I couldn’t resist the brownie again ( where there’s chocolate, I’m always sold).Once again we had a lovely relaxed lunch with excellent service, Hanson’s at the Chelsea is the nicest restaurant that I have visited in Swansea.I must add that we have never eaten down stairs, so I would suggest after reading other reviews that when booking you ask for a table on the ground floor. I would 100% recommend you to try this little gem in the centre of the city…I must also add that when we visited as a family, I ordered the smoked salmon, avocado and citrus starter, the avocado was missing! I didn’t say anything as the food was scrummy as it was & there was the addition of melon, so perhaps it was a replacement…?
